A green holiday that continues when you get home!

Being environmentally friendly is a priority for all of us and needs to be considered in every aspect of our lives: at work, at home and even on holiday!

If you have spent your holidays at Camping Village Garden Paradiso, you will surely have seen one of the initiatives we have taken to protect Mother Nature and the sea: the automatic water dispenser!

We hope you enjoyed this new feature and, above all, benefited from it! Looking at the numbers, we can guess that you have!

All together in one season, thanks to the water dispenser:

• We avoided the use of 50,663 1-litre plastic bottles
• We prevented 1,351 kilograms of plastic from entering the environment

These figures also give us an optimistic outlook on the coming season and encourage us to do even more and continue on our way to becoming an increasingly eco-friendly facility in Italy.

There is a long way to go, and becoming an environmentally sustainable campsite is a commitment that requires awareness and perseverance. In addition to the water distributor, together with our entire team we take many other measures to avoid waste and protect nature: we constantly protect and care for green areas, to move around the campsite we only use vehicles powered by electricity, we follow certain cleaning procedures that allow us to reuse plastic containers over and over again and much more. But we know we can do more!

And you can help us, both when you're on holiday and when you come home!

Respecting the environment is easy... if you know how to do it!

We thought we'd share with you a little list of tips you can follow on holiday and at home: step by step, together, we can (and must) make a difference!

How to enjoy a green holiday

Naturally, relaxation rules when you're on holiday! But you will see that these simple tips will not take a second away from fun or rest:

• Use the water dispenser at Camping Village Garden Paradiso
• Follow the instructions we provide for recycling (we will provide you with rubbish bags!)
• If you want to travel around the village, take a nice walk, and if you want to visit Cavallino, use the bikes that we provide
• When taking a shower, don't keep the hot water running constantly, at least when ambient temperatures allow it
• Don't leave waste lying around, there are recycling collection points throughout the campsite, make good use of them!
• Dispose of cigarette butts in the dedicated containers after putting them out, don't bury them in the ground

Let's start with these very simple points: you'll see that once you've got the hang of it, you'll want to do more and more! And when you get back home? We've thought of that, too. Read on!

How can you be eco-friendly even when the holidays are over?

You started to make a difference to the environment during your stay; you don't want to spoil everything once you get home, do you? So here's what you can do:

• Keep on recycling: read the labels of the various packaging of the products you use; they always indicate how to dispose of them correctly
• Choose products made with recycled materials
• Learn how to reuse as much as possible, from food and detergent packaging, for example, to clothes, which you can donate to various associations. In this way, you help the environment and also other families!
• Do you really need to keep all the lights on around the house? If you're not in a room, turn off the light and during the day, always prefer natural light (when it's there, the sun is also good for your mood!).
• Set the thermostat to a temperature of around 20°C. If you're cold, put more clothes on, it doesn't need to be summer in the house all the time (you can spend that with us after all!)
• Do you need to run errands near home? Don't use the car all the time, unless you have to carry something too heavy or it's pouring with rain, take a nice walk instead!
• When taking a shower, brushing your teeth or washing your face, turn off the water if you're not using it (you'll also see the difference in the bill)

We hope you will want to put these few simple tips into practice right away, as we have done! At Camping Village Garden Paradiso, we're all part of a large family. We care about everyone's well-being and happiness, but if we don't start taking concrete actions (and not just talking about making changes), we may soon lose the chance to be together, enjoy the sea, and have fun!
