The project focuses on promoting the tourist destination of Cavallino-Treporti, in particular by developing and consolidating the aggregation of the most representative enterprises of the location, united in the "Parco Turistico di Cavallino-Treporti" ("Cavallino-Treporti Tourist Park") tourism promotion consortium.
The project's inception stems from the development, promotion and innovation strategy shared by the stakeholders involved, with the main objective of enhancing new types of products with respect to the now consolidated seaside resort, i.e. those linked to the 'open-air experience', not only determined by the predominant presence of outdoor accommodation facilities, but properly understood as a philosophy of life, which finds its natural expression in all the factors characterising the area.
In fact, Cavallino-Treporti is not just about the sea and spacious beaches; on the contrary, it offers a whole series of regional beauties that should be recognised and appreciated: the lagoon, nature, the numerous activities that can be practised in the area, such as cycling, walking, boating, water sports in general, the open-air museum itinerary, historical villages, vegetable gardens and everything that can provide inspiration for guests.
For the development of products related to slow & green tourism and the achievement of the related objectives, the project envisaged specific promotional marketing, reputation and notoriety initiatives, using both traditional tools, such as television commercials, the Sole 24 Ore event and the foreign specialised press, and purely online tools, through the website, social networks, the use of innovative platforms and the involvement of influencers or travel bloggers.
The various actions made it possible to promote Cavallino-Treporti as a "sustainable destination", understood from an economic, environmental and social point of view, also thanks to the emphasis on the location's UNESCO brand.
This has led to important repercussions throughout the destination, including the deseasonalisation of the offer and an increase in tourist flows, thanks to new market niches.
In addition, the project also has an impact on increasing employment and the entrepreneurial development of companies through the efficient use of resources and sustainable management of natural capital and cultural heritage.
